Our Mission

We, Hui Mana ‘Ai, a group of four seniors in the Class of 2019 who want to make a long lasting impact on our Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Campus. We came up with the idea to create a Kamehameha Schools Open market in order to promote sustainability and the concept of community beyond Kamehameha.  We believe it will help to advocate eating/ buying local, the Hawaiian culture, making connections, and giving back to the community that has given so much to us.

Trinity Asing

Aloha, my name is Trinity Asing, I am the founder of Hui Mana ʻAi. I am a graduated of the 2019 class of Kamehameha Schools. I am from Kailua, O‘ahu, I enjoy spending my free time surfing, and hanging out with my friends out doors. I currently attend UH Manoa studying sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Aloha mai kākou! My name is Aislen Bacalso and I am a senior at Kameheha Kapālama Schools. I am 17 and I’m from Mililani, Oʻahu. I have a very strong connection to the water as I come from a surfing ʻohana. You will always catch me by the ocean during my free time!
​Aloha! my name is Camille Slagle, and I am a current senior at Kamehameha Schools. I’m from Kailua, Oahu, and am so excited to learn more about aloha ‘āina and support my local community as the year progresses. In the future, I hope to study chemistry at my dream college Brown University and continue to have a positive impact on our lāhui, even if it be from hundreds of miles away.

Chloe Akiona-Bannan

Aloha, my name is Chloe Akiona-Bannan and I am a senior at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama, which I've attended since the 4th grade. I reside in Kailua, O'ahu where I was born and raised. In the fall, I plan to attend the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington where I will be majoring in Occupational Therapy and pursuing my volleyball career. 

Micah Pascua

Kauaʻi and I am senior at
Kamehameha.  I have been
boarding since the 7th
​grade. I am currently planning on attending UH Hilo where I hope to major in 'ōlelo Hawaiʻi. 

Zachary Higa

Aloha, my name is Zachary Higa. I am a senior at Kamehameha Schools have Kamehameha attended since 9th grade. I am 17 years old and live in Nuʻuanu ʻOahu. In my free time I enjoy Hawaiian music, hanging out with my friends, and playing video games. As of right now I plan to attend UH Manoa majoring in Political Science.
